Computerized Accounting - QuickBooks

Students will learn how to apply accounting practices and concepts and business transactions using accounting software (QuickBooks) through the use of a simulated business. Students will be trained in entering transactions, making corrections, creating and analyzing fiscal reports, creating and comparing financial statements, creating and managing files, payroll calculations, and end-of-year adjustments.

Pre-requisite: Computer skills required.

Excel for Accounting

Registration Fee $40

This course is designed to give you the tools to create managerial or cost accounting spreadsheets, reports using Microsoft Excel. Cost accounting reports are used for planning, regulating, decision making, and measuring business performance. Managers then analyze these reports to highlight certain patterns and convert them into useful information for the company. You can expect to review such topics as managerial accounting functions, internal controls, accounting reporting systems, financial statements and budgeting. You will also find lessons covering cost types, cost analysis and activitybased costing. Along with course lesson will be practice tests to help you determine your readiness in taking the Excel Managerial Accounting certificate exam. Pre-requisite: Accounting experience or training.
