We Are All In This Together

Welcome to School Reopening

The purpose of this webpage is to provide parents, students, and the community access to detailed information about the school reopening structure and procedures that we will be implementing starting on the first day of school.

Our charge as a district during this challenging time is to fulfill two obligations. Our first obligation is to ensure the health and safety of all students, teachers, and staff. Our second obligation is to provide a high quality and engaging learning environment and experience for all students. We are confident that we can meet these obligations with the support and commitment of all parents, students, and community members. Our best plan of action is to rely on each other to be flexible and nimble in our thinking and our collective action. We are all in this together.

The Vista Unified School District (VUSD) is committed to providing innovative and flexible learning environments that meet the needs of our diverse student population.

In 2020-21, all VUSD schools transitioned to offer both virtual and classic (in-person) models of instruction to provide parents/guardians with options during the pandemic.  Vista Virtual was established as an innovative K-12 learning model that brings together the best components of traditional schooling and online education to provide an excellent educational experience.
